SOILICO ReptiLeaves TROPIC – Tropical leaves for terrariums – a high-quality blend of leaves for natural leaf litter layers in terrariums. The dried leaves are ideal as the uppermost top layer in tropical and bioactive terrarium setups. They immediately create a harmonious tropical look, serve as a natural food and structural basis for saprophages and microfauna, and support a more balanced microclimate in the soil area.

SOILICO ReptiLeaves TROPIC is spread as the top layer on the substrate – either over the entire surface or in zones. Depending on the terrarium setup, the leaf layer can be replenished as needed when it becomes thinner or visibly decomposed.
For a functioning setup, the material can be easily combined with suitable isopods, food & minerals for invertebrates and other accessories from setup, moss & cork.

This product is a natural or terrarium material for furnishing, structuring, or the substrate in terrariums, breeding boxes, and similar keeping environments.
Not a toy and not suitable for children. Not suitable for human consumption. Do not inhale dust and wash hands after use.
Natural materials can vary in color, shape, structure, and odor. Before use, check for sharp edges, foreign objects, mold, or other irregularities. Do not use conspicuous or heavily molded material.
Store dry and clean. When used in humid environments, check regularly and remove in case of mold, rot, or unwanted infestation.

They are intended as a tropical leaf layer for naturalistic terrariums: visually harmonious, functional as a food and structural basis for saprophages, and supportive of a more natural microclimate in the soil.
How are the leaves best used?
The easiest way is to spread them as a top layer on the substrate. Depending on the desired look, you can work over the entire surface or only in individual areas, for example, under decorations, roots, or in retreat zones.
Can ReptiLeaves be combined with other substrates?
Yes. As a top layer, they are particularly well suited for tropical substrates. This makes the surface look more natural, while the main substrate below forms the actual soil base.
Do the leaves need to be moistened?
That depends on the terrarium setup. In humid terrariums, the leaf layer absorbs the ambient moisture. In drier layouts, it can also be used dry – depending on the desired surface and type of keeping.
How is the bag best stored?
Store dry and clean and completely re-seal the zip closure after removal. This keeps the material protected and cleanly portionable.
