The BioFaunaCube system in everyday use

All-around ventilation with Drosophila protection

The ventilation is designed for air exchange inside the Cube and the openings are configured so that small feeder insects like Drosophila are more likely to remain inside the container in an appropriate setup. Check all ventilation areas before each use and adjust humidity and furnishings to the species.

Feeding flap and trapdoor

The feeding flap makes small maintenance tasks easier without opening the entire Cube. The trapdoor provides access to the interior. Both are especially helpful when you want to introduce food, water or maintenance tools in a targeted way. With active or very small animals, a calm, controlled working method remains crucial.

LED is lighting, not heating

The integrated LED provides light. It does not replace a species-appropriate planned heat source and does not compensate for a permanently too low room temperature. Do not use inappropriate heating pads directly on or under the Cube and check the actual conditions in the completed setup.

Modular accessories with BioFaunaCube SYS

Through the posts you can position suitable eyelets, bowls and climbing aids. This makes it easier to arrange feeding and water stations sensibly rather than placing them only on the floor. The benefit does not come from as many accessories as possible, but from an arrangement that works for the animal and the husbandry routine.

For suitable climbing-active species, the height can be used sensibly. Climbing structures, resting areas and water stations must be securely fastened. Eyelets and suitable bowls help with a clear arrangement, but do not replace species-specific furnishings.

More structured setup in the BioFaunaCube L

Size L gives more room for floor area and height. Use this space deliberately: plan hiding places, maintenance paths and secure access before you set up. A large Cube is not automatically suitable; the specific species remains decisive.

Introduce feeder insects in a controlled way
