SOILICO ReptiLeaves MANGOSTEEN – Mangosteen leaves for the terrarium – high-quality mangosteen leaves as a natural leaf litter layer in the terrarium. The leaves are ideal as the top layer in natural and bioactive terrarium setups. They immediately create a harmonious, natural ground appearance, serve as a food and structural basis for saprophages and microfauna, and support a more balanced microclimate in the soil area.

How SOILICO ReptiLeaves MANGOSTEEN are used in everyday life:
– Natural leaf litter layer: provides a calm, high-quality, and natural-looking surface in the terrarium
– Interesting for microfauna and saprophages: suitable as an organic food and structural basis in bioactive terrarium setups
– Supports moisture retention on the surface: useful for natural and more humid soil areas
– Harmonious forest floor look: ideal if the terrarium setup should appear more natural and "finished"
– Resealable zip closure: clean storage and easy portioning in everyday use

Typical areas of application:
– As a top layer on tropical and forest-like substrates
– In bioactive terrariums as a structural, retreat, and food source for soil inhabitants
– Under roots, bark pieces, and decorative zones for a natural surface
– As replenishment material when a leaf layer has visibly degraded

Contents:
– 130 g

Application:
SOILICO ReptiLeaves MANGOSTEEN are spread as the top layer on the substrate – either over the entire area or in zones. Depending on the terrarium setup, the leaf litter layer can be replenished as needed when it becomes thinner or visibly degrades.

For a functional setup, the material can be combined well with suitable isopods, food & minerals for invertebrates, and other accessories from furnishing, moss & cork.

What are SOILICO ReptiLeaves MANGOSTEEN intended for?
They are intended as leaf litter for natural terrariums: visually harmonious, functional as a food and structural basis for saprophages, and supportive of a more natural microclimate at the soil level.
How are the mangosteen leaves best used?
The easiest way is to spread them as a top layer on the substrate. Depending on the desired look, you can cover the entire area or build up only in specific areas, for example under decoration, roots, or in retreat zones.
Can ReptiLeaves be combined with other substrates?
Yes. As a top layer, they are particularly well suited for tropical and forest-like substrates. This makes the surface appear more natural, while the main substrate below forms the actual soil base.
Do the leaves need to be moistened?
That depends on the terrarium setup. In humid terrariums, the leaf litter layer absorbs ambient moisture. In drier layouts, it can also be used dry – depending on the desired surface and type of keeping.
How is the bag best stored?
Store dry and clean and close the zip-lock completely after removal. This keeps the material protected and easy to portion cleanly.
