Sphagnum Moss – Terrarium moss for humid zones & wet boxes

Sphagnum Moss – Compact Bricks for Terrariums, Wet Boxes, and Isopod Setups – 100% natural sphagnum moss for terrariums in a handy brick form. When soaked in approximately 1.5 liters of lukewarm water , the compact brick expands to about 4.5 liters of ready-to-use terrarium moss . Ideal for creating a specific humidity zone , a humid retreat , or a practical wet box within your setup.

Why many owners use Sphagnum Moss:
Targeted moisture control : useful for damp corners, retreat areas and microclimate zones
Practical for woodlice : ideal as a damp corner in the setup, so that the animals can orient themselves as needed.
Suitable for animals with higher humidity requirements : e.g., in setups for frogs, salamanders, lizards, or snakes.
High yield : one brick produces approximately 4.5 liters of finished terrarium moss.
100% natural : made without chemical additives and from renewable resources
Also suitable for plants : as a moist medium or supplementary base for terrarium plants and orchids

Typical areas of application (practical):
Humidity zone in the woodlouse setup, if an area should remain slightly damp on a permanent basis.
Wet box as a moist retreat, e.g. to support during molting
Egg-laying areas or more protected microclimate areas, depending on the species and husbandry
Moisture buffer under bark, moss cushions or hardscape
Plants : as a moist medium or additive in the root area

Application:
1) Place the brick in a bucket.
2) Add at least 1.5 liters of lukewarm water .
3) Wait briefly until the moss has fully swollen, then shake it loosely.
4) Squeeze out the required amount lightly and insert it into the setup.

Pro tip for isopods: Use sphagnum moss as a humidity island – one corner kept consistently slightly damp, the rest drier. This allows your isopods to orient themselves as needed without the entire setup becoming too wet.

Scope of delivery:
– 1× Sphagnum Moss brick 100 g (compact, dry)

Notes:
Natural product – color and texture may vary. Store in a cool, dry place. Rinse briefly before first use. Not for consumption.
