Natural Moss – Compact bricks for terrariums & isopod setups – 100% natural moss in a handy brick form. When soaked in approximately 1.5 liters of lukewarm water , the small brick yields around 4.5 liters of ready-to-use moss. Perfect for creating a reliable source of humidity in your setup – essentially a " refueling station " for moisture when animals and microfauna need it.
Why terrarium keeping and isopods love it:
– Creates a stable humidity zone (ideal as a retreat area)
– Great for woodlice : as a damp corner in the container so they can regulate themselves.
– Ideal for animals with higher moisture requirements (frogs, salamanders, lizards, snakes)
– One brick yields approximately 4.5 liters of finished terrarium moss.
– Made without chemical additives , from renewable resources
– Also excellent as a nutrient base for plants (e.g. orchids, terrarium plants)
Typical areas of application (practical):
– Moisture spot / “fueling station” in the woodlouse setup (one corner damp, the rest normal)
– Wet-Box* as a moist retreat (also to aid shedding)
– Egg laying (depending on species) & safe microclimate zones
– Decoration and moisture buffer under bark, moss cushions or hardscape
– Plants : as a moist medium / additive for roots
Application:
1) Place the bricks in a bucket.
2) Add at least 1.5 liters of lukewarm water .
3) Wait briefly until the moss has fully expanded, then shake it loosely.
4) Squeeze out the required amount lightly and insert it.
Scope of delivery:
