SOILICO CocoBase BRICK – Coconut Brick for Terrariums – compressed, coarsely structured coconut chips in a space-saving brick format. The coconut brick is ideal when an airy, structured coconut substrate is to be prepared – clean to handle, easy to store, and flexibly usable as a structural component, base, or mix ingredient for humid terrarium setups.

How SOILICO CocoBase BRICK is used in everyday life:
– Structure and aeration in the substrate: coarse chips loosen mixes and add volume
– Useful for humid and naturalistic terrarium setups: suitable as a structuring component in loosely structured substrates
– Usable as a mix or zone: mix in as a structural component or use as a separate layer or sub-zone
– Space-saving storage: compressed brick format, tidy in storage and practical for stocking
– Can be rehydrated with water: allow to swell, loosen, and then process according to the terrarium setup

Typical applications:
– As a structural component for tropical or humid substrates, to make the substrate appear less dense
– As a base or volume component in planted areas with a coarser, natural structure
– For larger terrarium setups, when substrate needs to be stored efficiently, cleanly, and space-savingly

Content:
– 0.5 kg

Application:
Place the brick in a bucket or container and add water until it is fully expanded. Then loosen the material and incorporate it into the terrarium setup according to the desired structure and humidity. For clean processing, it is recommended to work in portions.

For a functional setup, the material can be easily combined with suitable isopods, food & minerals for invertebrates, and other accessories from decor, moss & cork.

What is SOILICO CocoBase BRICK intended for?
SOILICO CocoBase BRICK is intended for terrarium setups where a coarsely structured coconut substrate is needed – as a structural component, base, or mix ingredient. Thanks to the coarse chip structure, the substrate appears looser and less compact.
How is the coconut brick correctly prepared?
Place the brick in a sufficiently large container and add water until it is fully expanded. Then loosen the material. This creates a coarse, natural-looking structure that can be cleanly incorporated.
How much does one brick yield?
The brick expands significantly. The exact yield depends on how much water is used and the desired consistency of the result. This allows the material to be flexibly adapted to the respective terrarium setup.
Can SOILICO CocoBase BRICK be mixed with other substrates?
Yes. The coarse coconut chips are well suited as a structural component to loosen mixes and give them more volume. It is best to mix gradually until the feel and appearance match the desired result.
How should the brick be stored?
Store dry and clean. Due to the compressed form, the product remains very space-saving and tidy in storage. Expanded material should be prepared fresh as needed.
