Benefits at a Glance
- Natural material for the terrarium
- More structure and hiding places
- Suitable for bioactive setups
Isopod Habitat Mix 1 Liter – the ready-made natural top layer for isopod boxes, breeding boxes, and bioactive terrariums. The mixture consists of moss, lichens, cork pieces, leaves, and other structural natural components, instantly adding more surface area, hiding places, and natural structure to your isopod setup.
For isopods, in particular, the surface is crucial: they use leaves, cork, moss, and lichens not only as hiding places but also as walking, retreat, and grazing areas. With the Isopod Habitat Mix, you don't have to gather the appropriate natural materials individually – just open the bag, spread it loosely, and your isopod box will immediately look much more natural.
Why the Isopod Habitat Mix makes sense:
– Ready-made natural mixture for isopod boxes, breeding boxes, and bioactive terrariums
– Contains moss, lichens, cork pieces, and leaves
– Instantly creates structure on the substrate
– Offers hiding places and retreat areas for isopods and other invertebrates
– Provides natural grazing areas through lichens, leaves, and organic components
– Moss components support moister areas in the box
– Cork pieces provide surface area, protection, and structure
– Visually much more natural than pure leaf litter
– Ready to use: simply sprinkle, spread, and you're done
Suitable for which animals?
The Isopod Habitat Mix is particularly suitable for isopods, springtails, millipedes, snails, and other invertebrates in natural or bioactive terrariums.
What is included?
The mix contains a varied natural blend of moss, lichens, cork pieces, leaves, and other natural structural materials. This creates a vibrant surface with different moisture zones, hiding places, and small microhabitats.
Application:
Loosely spread the Isopod Habitat Mix over the existing substrate. A combination of drier and moister areas is particularly useful so that the animals can choose where they want to stay. Moss and lichen areas can be lightly moistened depending on the enclosure.
Ideally combined with:
– Isopod box or breeding box
– Suitable substrate
– Isopod Premium Food
– Cuttlebone powder or cuttlebone pieces
– Isopod feeder
– Springtails as tank cleaners
Contents:
– Volume: approx. 1 liter
Scope of delivery:
– 1× Isopod Habitat Mix 1 Liter
Notes:
Natural product – composition, color, structure, piece sizes, and weight may vary naturally per bag. Not suitable for human consumption. The mix does not replace a suitable substrate but is used as a natural top layer on the substrate.
For a functioning enclosure, the material can be well combined with suitable isopods, food & minerals for invertebrates and other accessories from furnishings, moss & cork.
