SOILICO DrainBase – expanded clay pebbles for terrariums – high-quality expanded clay pebbles as a reliable drainage layer in terrariums. SOILICO DrainBase is used as the bottom layer of the setup, allowing excess water to drain downwards in a controlled manner, instead of remaining permanently in the substrate. This is particularly suitable for humid, tropical, and bioactive terrarium setups where a cleanly constructed sub-base is important.

Application:
SOILICO DrainBase is applied as the bottom layer. A separation layer, such as fleece or mesh, usually follows above it to prevent the substrate and drainage from mixing. Subsequently, the desired substrate is built up.
For a functioning setup, the material can be combined with suitable isopods, food & minerals for invertebrates and other accessories from setup, moss & cork.

This product is a natural or terrarium material for the setup, structuring, or substrate in terrariums, breeding boxes, and comparable keeping environments.
Not a toy and not suitable for children. Not for human consumption. Do not inhale dust and wash hands after use.
Natural materials can vary in color, shape, structure, and odor. Before use, check for sharp edges, foreign objects, mold, or other anomalies. Do not use anomalous or heavily moldy material.
Store dry and clean. When used in humid environments, check regularly and remove in case of mold growth, rot, or unwanted infestation.
