Simple Cricket Breeding
Oct 09, 2024
If you breed crickets for your terrarium animals, a clear routine helps: a suitable egg-laying area, a separate water source and regular care. You can combine the CritterBreeder© 2.1 with the insect drinker.
Egg-laying area with CritterBreeder© 2.1

The CritterBreeder© 2.1 provides crickets with an egg-laying area with coconut substrate, a grid and a flexible ramp. Its base measures 100 × 100 mm and its total height is 30 mm. The box is 3D printed from PETG; coconut substrate is included.
Moisten the coconut substrate with water before use. The grid protects the substrate and the eggs laid in it. When you remove the filled box, you can prepare the next breeding cycle with a matching CritterBreeder© 2.1 Box. Components from CritterBreeder© 2.0 and 2.1 remain compatible with each other.
Water supply with the insect drinker

The insect drinker provides water through a cotton pad. It includes a 50 ml bottle and three cotton pads. Fill it only with water, replace the cotton pads regularly and clean the drinker.
A practical combination
With a breeding box and water supply, you can organise the egg-laying area and water source separately. If you would like both products together, the Cricket Carefree Bundle combines CritterBreeder© 2.1 and the insect drinker.
